Patient navigation is emerging as a valuable service in not only cancer care but other chronic illnesses and generally refers to assistance given to individuals facing cancer that facilitates access to appropriate care and resources in order to ensure completion of medical treatment.

Rand Skolnick and his loved ones used a Patient Navigator during his illness, which provided much solace, comfort and tremendous resources. The Palette Fund aims to not only make patient navigation available to anyone going through a difficult diagnosis but also ensure that Patient Navigation becomes a household name.
